The second question is usually "where in China?" The rest of that conversation involves us trying to describe where Suzhou is while the listener tries to pretend they know more about Chinas geography than they actually do. Don't feel bad, we're learning too.
An open hand substitutes nicely for a map of China...Suzhou is somewhere near the tip of my ring finger while Hong Kong is down around the pinky and Beijing is closer to the index finger. Why not make it easier and get this detail out of the way with our first blog post?
Suzhou is located near the eastern coast of China in Jiangsu Province. It's about a 1-1.5 hour drive to the west from Shanghai. Clif's work office will be in Wuxi, which is also visible on the map to the northwest of Suzhou.
Perhaps we'll talk next about what we expect to find in Suzhou such as population density, weather and shopping.
